Yes. TrustDialer is the calling app and TrustDialerSms is the messaging app. They can hand a number, a draft, or an existing conversation to the right place when you move between calls and messages.

Each app asks only for the Android role and access it needs for its own job.

Turn on the in-call control lock in TrustDialer settings. Call controls start locked, so you need to slide deliberately before using mute, keypad, hold, audio, or hang up.

Unlock only when needed, then lock the controls again without interrupting the call.

Open a recent or missed call, then choose the option to block that number. You can also use the blocked-number list to add, search, edit, or remove entries.

Add a local name or note if it helps the person using the phone understand why the number was blocked.

From a recent or missed call, TrustDialer can open a lookup for that number so you can investigate it yourself.

It does not claim that a number is safe or unsafe from a shared cloud database. Use the result as a prompt to decide whether to block the caller or add them to a trusted contact list.

When Android provides an incoming number in an international format, TrustDialer can show the associated country name on the incoming-call screen. This can help you pause when an unexpected out-of-country number calls.

The label is based on the number, not verified caller identity. It cannot prove that a caller is safe or legitimate, so treat unexpected calls carefully.

Use the main search to find a saved contact, a recent call, or a number. Add frequent contacts to Favorites or speed dial for one-tap calling.

Contact groups can also make a long address book easier to browse for a family member or caregiver.

Set a preferred call line in TrustDialer, or choose from the available lines when placing a call. The choices shown depend on the SIMs and calling accounts Android currently makes available.

If a line is missing, check that it is active in the phone’s own SIM and calling settings.

Android reserves important text-message actions for the app chosen as the messaging app. Open TrustDialerSms setup and choose it when Android offers the role.

Then complete any message, notification, or contact access prompt shown by the app. Until that is done, Android can limit what the inbox can read, send, or refresh.

Open the conversation menu and block the displayed sender, or use the Blacklist screen to add, find, edit, and remove entries.

You can save a local name and note with a blocked number. That note stays in TrustDialerSms and does not change the Android contact.

Choose the photo attachment option from a new or existing conversation. TrustDialerSms prepares it as an MMS message and shows a preview before you send.

Whether it can be delivered still depends on the phone plan, carrier, and MMS settings on the device.

Pin a conversation to keep it at the top of the inbox. Archive a finished conversation to move it out of the everyday list, or mute it to stop its notifications.

Archiving and muting do not delete messages or stop new messages from arriving.

Open the message cleanup settings and choose whether a rule applies to all, read, or sent messages. Pick the time period carefully before saving.

Keep messages that matter by locking them or leaving them outside the selected cleanup rule.

Grandma Mode gives trusted contacts and everyday calling a simpler, calmer presentation. It can use spoken assistance when the phone has suitable Android text-to-speech voices installed.

Set it up with the person who will use the phone, then test calls and the emergency path before relying on it.

Kid Mode uses a protected home screen with the apps, contacts, and visual choices a caregiver has selected. It is designed to reduce accidental changes and keep the phone focused.

Use one protected mode at a time so the phone’s behavior stays predictable for the person using it.

Use the recovery option shown in protected mode, then enter the caregiver password. Protected mode is designed to be hard to leave by accident, not impossible to leave.

Before handing over a phone, make sure the caregiver has tested the recovery route and saved the password somewhere safe.

TrustDialer keeps local filtered-call review available on the phone. TrustDialer Plus unlocks caregiver alert automation.

Caregiver SMS alerts need both Plus and the full direct-download build, plus TrustDialer as the default SMS app, SMS permission, a caregiver number, and the right SIM route. Test an alert after setup so you know it reaches the right person without creating unnecessary noise.

Blacklist, spam lookup, recent calls, and local filtered-call review stay available in Free. Whitelist enforcement is different: it changes which incoming calls can ring, so it belongs to TrustDialer Plus advanced call protection.

When Plus is active and TrustDialer is the default phone app, whitelist mode, weekly schedules, unknown-caller policies, quiet-mode behavior, and quick Add to whitelist actions can be used. If Plus is not active, saved whitelist setup stays on the phone but is not enforced.

Open Backup, choose the sections you want to keep, create a password, and choose a local or shared save location you can reach later.

Full backups are the path for supported phone data such as contacts, recents, blocked numbers, and SMS where the installed build and Android allow it. Keep the password safe. An encrypted backup cannot be opened without it.

No. A setup pack is the Plus transfer tool for caregiver-managed setup. It can move protected modes, launcher apps, whitelist setup, favorites, contact groups, spam lookup settings, appearance, and safety data without importing contacts, recents, blocked numbers, or SMS.

Use a full backup when you need supported phone data. Use a setup pack only when Plus is active and you want to move the managed TrustDialer setup without a full phone-data restore.

Choose a backup, open its preview, and run a simulation before making changes. TrustDialer explains which sections are available and whether each will be added, replaced, merged, or skipped.

You can select only the sections you need instead of restoring everything.

TrustDialer Plus can move genuinely new contacts into a writable device-contact store when Android exposes one, while existing matches remain where they already belong. Create an encrypted backup, then use preview and simulation before restoring.

This migration feature is not available in Free. Free can still create encrypted backups, but it does not offer the device-local contact migration path.

TrustDialer does not remotely remove contacts from Google, Samsung, Xiaomi, or another provider. Those cloud copies remain under the family’s control. The available contact destinations depend on what Android exposes on the phone.

In TrustDialer Full, Android may require TrustDialerSms to be the messaging app while it reads or restores messages.

TrustDialer is designed to keep normal call, contact, and message activity on the phone. It does not require a cloud account for ordinary use.

Data leaves the phone only when you deliberately use an export, share, backup destination, diagnostic report, or configured caregiver text-message alert.

Choose Google Play when you want store installation and updates, Google-managed trial eligibility, and a yearly Google Play Plus subscription at the live price shown by Google Play. A website license does not work in the Google Play app.

Free keeps the daily dialer usable: contacts, search, keypad, favorites, speed dial, recents, missed calls, blacklist, spam lookup, local filtered-call review, full backup, diagnostics, and setup checks.

Trial temporarily unlocks the same protected family features as Plus. TrustDialer Plus unlocks Grandma mode, Kid mode, Protected launcher, Caregiver alerts, advanced call protection, setup packs, Self-test wizard, and advanced per-contact behavior such as always-allow and per-contact SIM overrides.

In Google Play, trial eligibility and the yearly Plus subscription are managed by Google Play. In TrustDialer Full, Trial and Plus are signed website licenses; the €39 Plus website license works locally in the direct-download app. Full names the app, while Plus names the protected feature set.
